Eid Fitr : AMORAN felicitates with Muslim faithfuls, urges them to pray for Nigeria

On the occasion of the celebration of the Muslim festival of Eid-el-Fitr across the world, the Articulate Motorcycle Riders and Owners Association of Nigeria (AMORAN) has felicitated with the adherents of Islamic faith and called on them to imbibe tolerance.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, he said, "From all of us at AMORAN, Ogun State chapter under the Chairmanship of Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, we felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of this year's Eid-el-Fitr which marks the completion of the Ramdan fast".

" We congratulate them on the successful completion of this month-long spiritual journey of fasting, prayer and almsgiving in obedience to the Divine command of the Almighty Allah (SWT)", Otunba Sokoya said.

While charging the Muslims, Otunba Sokoya called for tolerance in the quest to build a strong and united community. Furthermore, he urged them to keep to the safety guidelines released by health and government authorities, noting that the fight to curtail and contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic is a collective one. Hence, he urged them to obey the 'pray at home' order.

Finally, he prayed that "May Almighty Allah (SWT) accept our fasting and prayers and grant us victory over the dreadful disease which has almost brought the whole world to her knees".

Signed :

Otunba Taofeek Sokoya
Publicity Secretary, Ogun State AMORAN
