SABO MARKET FIRE OUTBREAK : ALOWONLE COMMISERATE WITH VICTIM'S
A renowned philanthropist and business mogul in Sagamu, Otunba Nurudeen Aina on Tuesday, conveyed his commiserations to victims of the fire outbreak in the popular sabo market, Sagamu, Ogun State.
According to a statement issued by his media team, Alowonle described the unfortunate fire incident as "one fire too many". The statement further reads in part, "I share in the pain and anguish of all hard working traders, artisans and business owners who lost their wares and belongings in the inferno.
I was greatly saddened by the unfortunate news of the fire outbreak that has once more left innocent victims counting their losses. However, much thanks to Almighty God that no life was lost. The frequency and intensity of market fire outbreaks in recent times, as well as the impact on lives and livelihoods, tells us that implementing fire risk management requires collective effort and a holistic approach", Alowonle said.
Finally, he enjoined everyone to adopt fire prevention measures for general health and safety of their homes, schools and workplaces while praying that Almighty God grants all the victims the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
