"Drums support for Ogun State Covid 19 Mass Vaccination scheme"
The State Executive Council of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), have resolved to ensure that all commercial motorcycle riders in Ogun state must get vaccinated in the ongoing Ogun Covid 19 Mass Vaccination Campaign which was flagged off in Abeokuta early this month by the executive governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
This was part of the resolutions taken at the monthly meeting of the Executive council of AMORAN held yesterday, Friday 12th November, 2021, at the union secretariat in Abeokuta. In a press release issued by the publicity secretary of the union, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya, the union had resolved to involve all the senatorial, Local govt, branch and unit chairmen of AMORAN, in ensuring that all members of the union get vaccinated.
The Executive council of AMORAN also urged all branch and unit chairmen and excos to embark on a sensitization campaign in the bid to educate and enlighten okada riders with adequate information on the merits of taking the vaccination and also the dangers of ignoring the vaccine.
The State executives of the union also reaffirmed their commitment to the leadership style of Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle, stressing that he has been a blessing to the Union and its executives so far.
